Cover it with chocolate and a miracle or two, the Candy Man, oh the Candy Man can.

Belgium
Land of chocolate
Waffles
Beer
and french fries
We ate the fries too fast to get a picture. Thankfully, we had a dear colleague from Raytheon, Bailey Sargent, who gave us great tips for the educational portion of the visit. I missed seeing Maureen Pratt, a colleague from Bechtel, who is also working in Brussels because she was back in the U.S. with her family.
Bailey mapped out a walking tour of Brussels for us to enjoy before we boarded the train to Bruges.
And of course, everyone who visits Brussels must see the Manneken Pis that embodies the Belgian sense of humor.
Then it was on to Bruges…
This was a quaint little city about an 1.5 hours from Brussels.
We had a great time in Brussels and Bruges, but I missed seeing Maureen. I met her at Bechtel where her dad and sister also work. She left the company to go to work for Mars, and she is now in Brussels on an international assignment working for their pet care division.
In Maureen’s honor, I leave you with my favorite version of Candy Man, in recognition of the 75th anniversary of M&Ms:
