But the Colorado rocky mountain high; I’ve seen it rainin’ fire in the sky. The shadow from the starlight is softer than a lullabye…
So my son-in-law wasn’t so sure about the name for today’s blog post. The Rocky Mountains + Colorado = High can only mean one thing, right? Well, maybe not.
Now he walks in quiet solitude the forest and the streams, seeking grace in every step he takes. His sight has turned inside himself to try and understand, the serenity of a clear blue mountain lake.”
When I hear these lyrics, I think peace, nature, freedom, and spirituality.
My sister-in-law, Suzanne, happened to be in Aspen this weekend at their new home, and she sent me this video of the trees around her place. It was very calming to hear the wind through the Aspen trees.
Back in Denver
This weekend with our family, we celebrated baptisms, belated birthdays, and special times together. Nothing beats the love and innocence of grandchildren. And you do your very best to teach them the proper way to go and grow (and how to spell Louis Vuitton!)
And, you pray that in the end, you’ve done the very best for your children and your grandchildren.
Mallory accepted the Lord as her personal savior when she was 13, but she had never been baptized. On Sunday, June 24, she was baptized at the Discovery Christian Church in Broomfield, Colorado. It was a very welcoming church with an amazing pastor, a wonderfully inclusive ministry, and excellent music.
We were truly blessed as a family this weekend with such great memories
We wore the little guy out…
And KiKi is headed to Vacation Bible School this week.
Hope everyone has a great week!
